Sewing along......kinda

Well, I have been reminded by my dear husband almost daily that I have not yet blown him away on my blog with a list of sewing I have done. Yes, he's a smart alec! There is a reason though. I've been working on a graduation quilt so have not been able to make any baby items yet. I will share some photos on what I have been doing though.

I had a baby quilt to make for a friend who is due in the next 2 weeks. I got it done in time for the shower and was able to make this super adorable pillow to go with it.

This kid has such a long name it turned into a baby body pillow!

This is the quilt I made. It's one I designed myself. Pretty simple really.........
Well darn. It would seem I forgot to take a photo of that quilt. I don't know how that happened!

In between those quilts I did finish 2 ufo's from my pile. They were pinned and ready for quilting so why I put them away, who knows.

I'm very happy with them. They turned out great!

I did take time out to make some thing for me to go with the cute new retro rocking chair I bought.

These are front and back views.

Easter around here was just lovely. The weather was beautiful. Dan and Chris spent the day outside, I cooked and Susan made these.

Yes, it's a boy and his name is Alec Daniel. Susan loved making these. I showed her how to work the Cricut. How to make a stencil and how to work with the fabric paints and she was off and running. I'm sure she will make more in the next few months. In the mean time she is graduating in 4 weeks!

Well, I'm off. There is more to share but this is long enough so it will be shared in another post.

Darling quilts - cute onesies, Susan. That rocking chair may be a collectible so treat it nicely. Lovely pillow.

Thanks for posting these.

I love the baby body pillow. To be honest I could see how handy this would be for a baby. I could easily have seen my babies clutching a body pillow. The onesies are so cute. Nice job.
