What am I working on now?

Maybe you were wondering......well...maybe you wern't either but I need opinions. Here is a wall hanging top I just got done top stitching today and I'm wondering if I should add some thing to the middle. I thought about embroidering Happy Valentines Day and placing a bigger heart in the middle but then it locks me into a certain display window where if it is just like this I can get away with leaving it up longer. But then it seems like some thing may be missing in the middle sections so I'm looking for thoughts on this.

Here is a close up of the 2 trees.

So I am also kind of working on a challenge, sort of. I was at my moms house the other day and she had ordered these really cute styrofoam cat heads and I decided to see what I could do with one. She also gave me a glass bottle. So I will do an art project incorporating these 2 objects. I have a few sketches of ideas but am still not sure on what I will be doing.

I also bought these 6x6 inch canvases to create an art project with to hang some where in the house after we paint and lay new flooring every where. The good thing is we need to finish the bathroom, dogs room and laundry/pantry area before we get to painting the rest of the house and flooring it so I have plenty of time to figure out what I want to do.

By the way, the bathroom is coming along great. I should be priming and painting next week as long as Dan does not stop working on it again. Some times he just gets really busy and some times he gets sick of working all day and coming home to work on the house so he kind of takes long breaks. Can't say I blame him but I can't wait to have my bathroom back and every thing else done too, especially my sewing room, that will be fun to do!

Okay, one final thing to share with you and that would be proof that no one ever gets too old to play with their toys.

Well, that is it for now.

Bye!

A fnish! And New Years Eve pics.

Okay, first I will share my finish. This is my second Downey charity quilt I have done. I love the fabrics they sent to me. Very fun and vibrant! I really am so pleased with how it turned out and the quilting just turned out so good if I do say so myself! I do feel bad that this is a couple weeks later than the turn around they like but the holidays got in the way and then Susan got sick and I flared up badly, just so many things got in the way but now it is done and I am taking a break from the Downey quilts and working on a few things I have going and a new wall hanging that I have an idea for and sketched out yesterday. Here are a few pictures, over alls and up close shots.

Now about New Years Eve. It was sooo much fun! We had friends over and Susan had some friends over and we played games and watched the ball drop. We played Guesstures for hours. It was the first time we had ever played and it was a blast. After the ball dropped we broke out the Rock Band and played that for quite awhile and ended the day at 4am. That's the latest I've stayed up in years! It was just so much fun. Here are some photos from that night. Mostly just the kids being silly and us playing Guesstures and Rock Band. If you've never played Guesstures and you are a family that loves games, or if you do a game night with friends I highly recommend it. I would also recommend Pictionary Man. Tomorrow we have another game night going on here. It should be a ton of fun! Anyways here are some New Years Eve pictures.

Me and Susan. As you can see, even at 16 she is still in a biting phase.

Playing Rock Band....

Our friends daughter fell asleep. I can't believe he let her sleep on him like this!

We got quite a bit of snow that night and it was coming down fast. Here are the kittys eating their dinner. I got a kick out of how fast they were getting covered with snow.

Now, about the year of the Wii Fit. I am still plugging along. I had a horrible flair last week and could not do it for 3 days in a row but got back at it lightly after that and now I have been feeling okay, much better than I was but I still am trying not to push it. I'm stretching and doing balance games and jogging and boxing when I can. My goal with this is to keep my fibromyalgia pain down because when it flairs that is when I have to take some high powered pain pills and I really dislike that so I'm trying to do what I can to avoid that. The problem I'm finding is the Wii Fit seems to be aggravating it a lot. I'm going to keep at it just to make sure it's not the weather but I may not be able to box and jog very often at all and I'm thinking I better get a treadmill for walking. I sure wish the Wii Fit had a walking program. Maybe in their next update huh. Well, I need to get going. I have some quilting I want to get done!

Bye!

Still going

I'm still going on the Wii Fit but.....those of you with fibromyalgia and arthritis will know..... I have had to cut some of the things I do out temporarily while this flair is going on and unfortunatly my favorite thing to do boxing had to be cut out for now while my shoulder that I had surgery on settles down. So, right now I am focusing on yoga and balance games and step. Most things involving my hips are out for right now but I will get back to those soon. My mind wants to get on it and go but my body says not happening. I am still doing 30 mins every day and will stay there for now. It kinda sucks that I'm only 32 and seem to have the body of an 80 year old most days.

So I know I promised New Years Eve photos but I haven't uploaded those yet. Not every post needs photos right. Phoey, I agree....a post is more exciting with pictures but never fear, next time I should have a picture of a finished quilt or two. I put one top together today and have the rows of another done as well.

Well, I only wanted to post so you knew I was keeping on with my Wii Fit challenge. Have you been hoping on your every day so far? I have!

Keep on keeping on! You can do it!

Bye!

And so it begins!

The year of the Wii Fit. So okay....I didn't do it until 8pm this evening. Thanks to Dan for reminding me that I don't want to miss the first day of my Wii Fit year.

Today I did around 46 mins and ran twice because I wanted to check out what Wii Fit basic run plus was. It was me following a cat and then a quiz about what I saw along the way afterwards. I unlocked a new path so that was cool. I also tried the marching band one and that was a lot of fun and some thing really good for the legs. As always I did the first 6 or so poses of yoga, step, advanced boxing, hula hoop, advanced karate and the running. I may be forgetting some thing there. I'm planning on sticking with those for now. The yoga is really nice. I should be able to touch my toes soon LOL.

New years eve was fun. We had some friends over for games and watched the ball drop. We were up very late so I have been lumpy and sleeping all day.

No pics to share but I have some great ones from new years eve that I'll share another time.

Bye!
